Genesis Valverde is completing her master’s degree in Community Development and Planning at Clark University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Psychology at Utah State University. Upon graduating she joined the Peace Corps as a community development volunteer in Armenia, where she developed a passion for community and economic development. Her other work experience involved helping residents with fair housing and the administrative assistant at the Main South Business Association. As an intern at WCG, Genesis has worked on many different projects, including supporting our project manager in beginning the refinance of many of our properties and additionally working with the community organizer on the Pleasant St. Transformative District Initiative.
